Pro skater Nyjah Huston has been back skating after a rough setback in December 2025 when he went down hard on a backside feeble attempt down a large handrail and took a heavy hit to the head.

That hard bail led to a hospital stay and kept him off the board for a while while he recovered from his injuries.

After a couple of months, he returned to skating and was seen out with PSL sessions, getting back into filming and putting himself back into street spots.

His return quickly got attention online, especially as clips started circulating of him going straight back into high-impact setups.

With that comeback also came constant messages from fans and skaters online telling him to wear a helmet, especially given how serious his earlier injury had been.

The conversations around safety followed him into his sesh, with people reacting to every new clip and photo that surfaced.

Not long after returning, he took another hard slam.

This time, the injuries included a fractured cheek bone and a lacerated kidney, adding another injury concern.

The impact raised more questions from viewers about the risks involved in what he was attempting and how quickly things escalated again.

Before sharing the new photo, he had already made comments about helmet use, saying that a standard helmet would not have changed what happened in his earlier crash because the impact zone was lower around his face rather than the top of his head.

That statement spread quickly and became part of the wider discussion.

After posting a photo showing the aftermath of the second slam, he pointed back to that same idea, suggesting that if any type of protection made sense for what he experienced, it would be a full face helmet rather than a regular one.

The image added more context to what he had been describing and kept the conversation going around his approach to protection during heavy street skating.
