Disorder Skateboards professional skateboarder Nyjah Huston recently opened up about his latest injury after another heavy fall during a street session.
He spoke in a very direct way about what happened and how he feels about safety gear following what he has been through.
He first went through a very serious bail not too long ago.
During a fast backside feeble grind on a steep handrail attempt, he came down hard and ended up with broken bones around his face, including his skull area and eye socket.
That incident left him unconscious and required hospital care.

Even after that, he went back to skating the streets quickly, spending time back with the homies.
A lot of people around him and watching online were worried about how soon he returned. Many felt he should have taken more time to rest and recover fully before getting back on his board.
So he kept going with sessions and continued skating in public spots and even pulled up to PSL.

Later on, he went through another hard slam.

The fall left him needing medical attention again and added more concern from fans and fellow skaters.

After this, many people started telling him to wear a helmet to protect himself from head injuries in future attempts.
There were also concerns about long term effects from repeated impacts to the head. Nyjah responded by saying that from his experience, a helmet would not have changed what happened in his case.
He explained that the kind of impact he took was still severe enough that protection on the head would not have prevented everything unless he wears a full faced motorcycle helmet.
He also showed his injuries publicly, including visible swelling around his face and a noticeable scar near his eyebrow area.
The injuries looked serious enough that doctors told him the healing process would take time.
They also mentioned that if things do not heal properly, there could be lasting changes to how his face settles.
Even with everything that has happened, he still wants to go back to the streets again.
At the same time, many people continue to express concern and hope he takes more time to recover before going through more intense skating again.
