Pro skater Nyjah Huston is back on his board at the skatepark and doing his thing but not everyone is feeling it.

As we previously reported, he fractured his skull not too long ago and people thought maybe he would be wearing a helmet now.

That is not the case. Nyjah has always been about skating his own way and telling the younger skaters to protect themselves but when it comes to him he has his own rules.

He posted an Instagram story responding to comments about helmets.

One fan said "Love to see it but where is the helmet" and added a fist bump and 100 emoji.

Nyjah did not hold back in his reply.

He told them "Seeing a lot of helmet comments homies I thought I have been clear I said young kids wear helmets I am a street skater I am never wearing a helmet."

He then added: "Committed to this life and ain't nothing changing that."

That is Nyjah in a nutshell. He wants the kids to be safe but he is never going to compromise how he skates.

Back at the park he is holding it down like nothing happened.

There is a tension because everyone is watching him knowing what happened with his skull.

He is focused on skating and not thinking about what anyone else thinks. The streets have always been his place and that is where he feels at home.

The reactions online are all over the place.

Some people are impressed by his confidence and skill while others worry he is tempting fate.

Fans are split but that has never bothered Nyjah.

He is just living his life on the board the way he wants and letting his skating speak for itself.

He is not trying to prove anything to anyone and he is not going to start wearing a helmet just because of what people say.
