A bystander at Jackalope tackled a skateboarder named Carlos to the ground during the Ventura vert contest.

Footage shared by Ventura Forward shows different angles of the same moment.

In one clip from the south side, Carlos is already on the ramp making wide hand gestures, trying to communicate with event staff while people around him react in real time.

Some in the crowd recognize him from earlier in the day, where he had been helping out and interacting with guests.

A second angle from the deck shows him continuing those gestures, appearing to engage with staff while standing on the ramp surface.

Viewers note that earlier in the day he had been working in support roles at the event, including helping with service tasks and assisting volunteers.

A third angle from the north side shows the full sequence from a wider view.

The MC can be heard reacting in different ways throughout the moment, at times describing what is happening in a light tone while the scene becomes more tense.

Carlos appears to be attempting to communicate while moving around the ramp area before a bystander steps in and tackles him.

Security and police were nearby during the interaction and moved in shortly after. The crowd reaction varies, with some visibly confused as things escalate quickly.

Ventura Forward also mentions concerns about communication during the moment and how quickly things developed in a crowded public setting.

The rest of the event continued, but discussion around what happened on the ramp carried on afterward, especially among those who witnessed it firsthand or saw the clips circulating.
