Skateboarding legend Kerry Getz is bringing a new DVS Comanche LT colorway to Nocturnal Skate Shop this Friday, August 14, with a special shop launch planned for 7 PM.
For anyone who followed skateboarding through the late 1990s and 2000s, Kerry Getz needs little introduction.
His skating, video parts, contest appearances and long standing connection to the culture have made him one of the most respected names from his generation.
Now, core heads will have a chance to hang out with Kerry and check out his latest DVS project in person.
Nocturnal announced the event on social media, inviting everyone to pull up for the launch.
The night will have plenty going on beyond the shoe release, making it a solid opportunity for local skaters and longtime Kerry fans to spend some time at the shop.
The first 10 pairs purchased will come with an 8 x 10 premium archival inkjet print from photographer Ryan Gee.

For collectors and fans of skate photography, getting one of these prints with the first pairs should make the opening run especially worth checking out.
Kerry will also be hosting skate trivia during the event.
That gives everyone a chance to test their skate knowledge while hanging out with one of the skaters who has been part of the scene for decades.
There will also be beverages and pizza at the shop, so the night is set up to be pretty relaxed. Come by, grab some food, check out the new Comanche LT colorway, talk skateboarding and spend some time with the crew.
The release also marks the return of DVS to Nocturnal Skate Shop.
The shop shared its excitement about having the brand back and hinted that there is more to come from Kerry Getz in the near future.
