If you have ever stood at the top of the Santa Monica Triple Set, you already know it is not friendly.
The stairs are steep, the landing comes at you fast, and there is no room for second guessing. That is exactly why Thrasher Magazine brought “BUST OR BAIL” to the spot.
The concept is simple. You either roll away clean or you pay for it. Skaters lined up and threw themselves at the triple set with everything they had.
Things got real when Jeff DeChesare took a brutal slam and wrecked his knee on the stairs. He went down hard and stayed down.
The kind of fall that makes everyone go quiet for a second. He had been charging before that, fully committed, and the set showed no mercy. That is the risk with a spot like this. It does not care who you are.
Even Bam Margera was posted up, hyping up the skaters and clearly fired up watching people risk it all. Seeing someone like Bam watching from the sidelines added another layer to the chaos. The crowd fed off it, and the attempts just kept getting bigger.
