Legendary pro skater Chad Muska recently shared an update with his followers about a decision that many sneaker fans might find both relatable and entertaining.
After installing a new HVAC system at his house, Muska decided to move all of his shoe inventory back inside. What prompted the move? Simply put, winter is coming, and the warehouse he had been using is not yet fully insulated or heated.
Muska admitted that he had been a bit ambitious trying to set up his business in the warehouse before it was ready.
While the extra space in the warehouse makes working there much easier, the lack of heat during the colder months proved to be a bigger challenge than expected. Instead of letting his shoes sit in a chilly, uninsulated space, he chose to keep them warm at home.
He plans to manage in the house for one more winter and then complete the warehouse in the spring. Although he hasn’t received quotes for the work yet, he anticipates that finishing the warehouse will be expensive, as everything seems to be these days.
In a playful tone, Muska referred to his shoes as his “little shoe babies,” noting that he can rest easier knowing they are safe and warm inside the house instead of freezing in the warehouse. The post ended on a light note, with Muska mentioning he still has to close his mom’s pool the next day and acknowledging that the work never really stops.
Fans of Muska’s footwear line were quick to respond, appreciating the personal glimpse into his life as a skater and entrepreneur. While the warehouse offers plenty of room to grow his business, it is clear that keeping his inventory safe and in good condition takes priority for the moment.
Muska wrapped up the post by wishing everyone a good night, tired but satisfied that his shoes are well cared for and ready to face the season ahead.
