Honda may have missed the opportunity as skateboarding car salesman Samwise Sorter could become Hyundai's next viral star.

Samwise recently shared that his general sales manager told him to bring his skateboard to work because they were filming a new commercial, giving him the chance to combine his love for skateboarding with his career in car sales.
It is not every day that a dealership embraces skateboarding as part of its marketing, which is why many skaters are excited to see Hyundai of New Port Richey giving Samwise the freedom to be himself.
Instead of asking him to leave his board at home, the dealership encouraged him to bring it along for the shoot.
That decision could end up paying off.
Samwise has built a solid following on social media through his skateboarding content, and featuring someone who already has a loyal audience gives Hyundai a chance to reach people who may not have looked twice at a dealership commercial.
Core heads tend to support brands that support the people they follow, especially when those brands let creators stay authentic instead of changing who they are.
After leaving Honda, Samwise has continued to receive plenty of support from his followers.

Many skaters have been cheering him on, and it would not be surprising to see his upcoming Hyundai commercial get shared across social media once it is released.
For many in the skateboarding community, seeing one of their own featured by a major dealership is something they can get behind.
Samwise shared the news on social media, writing:
“The GSM told me to bring my skateboard to work so we can shoot a commercial. Work hard play hard go hard. ! Come see me at Hyundai of New Port Richey!
”
Now fans will be waiting to see the finished commercial and how Samwise brings his skateboarding style into it.
If the response from his followers is any indication, Hyundai may have found someone who can connect with an audience far beyond the typical car commercial.
