OG pro skateboarder Brian Wenning has been through some real sh*t and never tried to hide it.
He hit a low point when he was locked up after being arrested on October 27, 2021, facing three serious charges: endangering a child, unlawful possession of a firearm, and making terroristic threats.
Wenning has talked openly about running into trouble with the law and his past mistakes on his Living Proof interview. He owned up to what he did wrong and started putting in the work to fix his life.
These days Wenning looks really healthy.
He’s taken out some of his face tattoos, gotten back on his skateboard, and made time to be there for his daughter. He’s focused on keeping his life clean and real instead of chasing old habits.
Today he hits four years sober and clean.
Four years with nothing in his system except his own drive to change and going to Alcoholics Anonymous. No excuses and just showing up every day and putting in the effort.
Wenning shared the news himself:
“And Today “WE” Celebrate 4 Years of Sobriety
10/28/21 - 10/28/25 🙏 “One Day at a Time” 🙏

For him this isn’t just about staying away from alcohol. It’s about proving to himself he can live better, be a solid dad, and handle life without falling back into old ways.
The streets, the skateboard world, even the personal struggles are all behind him now, replaced with focus, presence, and a clean lifestyle.
Core skaters have shown love for his announcement and his growth, but for Wenning, it’s all about keeping it moving every single day. Skating, family, and staying clean are what matter now.
He proves that real growth happens one day at a time, through action, and not words.
