Professional skateboarder Bryce Wettstein has been getting a lot of recognition thanks to her dad for helping her out and honing her skills.
Because of that support, she became a two-time Olympian and a successful contest pro skater.
At the same time, her dad Max isn’t afraid to call out the haters.
As we previously reported, skateboarding legend Jason Ellis officially joined The Boonies Skateboards as their newest pro rider.
While many fans were excited about the addition, not everyone was happy, and some critics were quick to voice their opinions online.
Max was ready to call out the bullies.
He pointed out that the keyboard warriors trolling online wouldn’t last a second if they faced Ellis in person. He said, “None of the haters would last 30 seconds in the ring with Ellis. Keyboard warriors trolling all day online.”
He also responded to more personal attacks aimed at Ellis. “I don’t know all about his personal life, but I have seen him fight. He has MMA skills. All I am saying is, if someone wants to troll someone online, they should either shut their mouth, back it up, or deal with the consequences,” he explained.
Max didn’t stop there. He shared a story that shows another side of Tony Hawk’s podcast partner. “Mr. Ellis was very kind and respectful when he commented on a recent skate contest that my daughter was in and made all the girls feel welcome,” Max said.
It’s clear that Ellis isn’t just a skilled skateboarder. He’s someone who treats others with respect and kindness, especially when it comes to supporting young athletes.
