Steve-O talked about Bam Margera during a recent appearance on the TMZ podcast and kept his comments straightforward while still saying he cares about him.
He explained that there is still respect and support on his side, but he also feels that Bam needs to be honest about what went wrong with the Jackass crew situation.
According to Steve-O, moving forward starts with recognizing personal responsibility for past actions instead of avoiding it.
The Jackass star said that recovery for him means being able to openly admit mistakes and accept what happened without trying to change the story.
He suggested that if Bam could clearly say what happened and accept his part in it while also focusing on staying healthy, that would be a real step forward in his view.
He also shared that during the time of Jackass Forever he was still supporting Bam and trying to encourage him.
He described himself as one of Bam Margera’s biggest supporters during filming and said the rest of the crew also tried to help him stay involved and on track.
Even with all of that, Steve-O made it sound like things became difficult because there was no acknowledgment of responsibility from Bam’s side.
That gap created frustration for the group who felt they were putting in effort to help while dealing with ongoing problems at the same time.
Steve-O did not frame his comments as anger but more as disappointment mixed with concern.
He made it sound like he still wants Bam to do well but believes things cannot fully improve unless there is accountability for what happened with the team in the past.
Jackass Forever is the most recent theatrical film in the Jackass franchise and continues to bring attention back to the long history of the cast and their complicated relationships over the years.
