The fight was stopped before fans had the chance to see the two MMA stars settle into a real battle, leaving many viewers frustrated that it ended so quickly.

Even Max admitted afterward that he was disappointed with how everything played out.

The mongo pushers did not feel the satisfying win because the contest ended before either fighter had the opportunity to exchange much offense.

The reaction spread well beyond the MMA community.

Skateboarders, fight fans, and plenty of people online shared similar thoughts after the event, with many saying they had waited a long time for a fight that was over almost as soon as it started.

Among them was Tim, who summed up his reaction with a short post on social media.

Pool wrote, "Broooooo bummer."

You already know that his comment echoed what many core heads were already saying online.

After months of anticipation, people were hoping to see McGregor and Holloway go several rounds and put on the kind of fight both athletes are known for.

Unfortunately, the night ended almost immediately because of the injury.

While Max officially walked away with the victory, many fans felt there were still plenty of unanswered questions about how the fight might have unfolded if McGregor had been able to continue.
