Gatekeeping king Weckingball recently spoke up after a post from Jenkem Magazine about their crooked grind contest.
As previously reported, YouTube skater Ricky Glaser’s grind was called into question, with the crew claiming it wasn’t actually crooked.
Even though Weckingball says he isn’t a fan of Glaser, he couldn’t stay silent.
Weckingball called out the owner of Jenkem, Ian Michna, insisting he post some skate clips.
According to the jacked pro skater, Michna has never shown anything on his socials proving he actually skates in the streets.
The message was simple. No clips, no cred, no skateboarder status.
Owning a skateboarding magazine doesn’t automatically make you a skater, and Weckingball made that point crystal clear.
Even with all the criticism Glaser gets online, from being called all kinds of negative names, Weckingball explained, "He is a cringe YouTuber skater, he got no steeze, his hair is wack, yo he's ugly, all that stuff, it might be true but he is a skater."
Weckingball also didn’t mince his words when it came to the Jenkem crew.
He described them as a group of hipster, grifter, poser nerds from Williamsburg and questioned their legitimacy.
As per Weck, they are overstepping by acting like they know the rules of skating better than actual skaters.
"And they are acting they have a skateboarding authority now?" Weckingball said. "Ya'll need to pipe down and stay in your lane."
He added, "If Ricky needs to be shamed, I'll handle it so, don't you worry about that buddy."
