Vert skateboarding legend Jason Ellis is officially back on the professional skateboarding scene, and this time he’s riding Tim Pool's growing team The Boonies.
As we previously reported, Ellis went on Pool's podcast to talk about the culture war and also tried to shred the gnarly Boonies drop in but ended up getting smoked.

Ellis himself broke the news with a post that summed up both his excitement and his trademark humor:
“I was retired but I’m back baby!!
Pro for @boonieshq and my pro model is coming soon!
I’m a bit rusty and sore but now that I’m pro again I’m skating every day and as you can see it’s going greatExcited and very grateful!
Thanks @timcast”
The 53-year-old made a name for himself with his wild style on big ramps and a personality that’s always been bigger than life. He stepped away from pro skating for a while, but getting back on the board as an official pro was just too good to pass up.
Joining up with skate wizard Richie Jackson on the squad is a fresh start for Ellis, mixing his years of experience with the creative stuff Pool and his crew have been putting together.
The Boonies has been picking up some awareness in the skateboard world and bringing Ellis on board takes things up another level.
He’s already got a pro model in the works, so skaters won’t be waiting too long to grab a board with his name on it. You can tell he’s just stoked to be skating with a purpose again, even if it means dealing with some rust and soreness along the way.
