Democrats have secured control of both the House and Senate following the 2026 midterm elections.

This is a major political setback for President Donald Trump and Republicans.
The party also scored significant victories across several states, including Texas, where Democratic candidates won the governor's race and U.S. Senate seat.
In Michigan, Democrat Abdul El-Sayed defeated Republican Mike Rogers, becoming the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Senate.
His election has also attracted attention because of his progressive political positions.
But not everyone is happy about the Democrats' growing political success.

MAGA professional skateboarder Taylor Silverman has taken to social media to speak out, connecting the debate over transgender participation in women's competitions to what she describes as a wider effort by leftists to gain political influence and bring Islamists into power.
Silverman didn't mince her words, accusing the political left of exploiting gender identity issues to influence people she believes are vulnerable to manipulation.

MAGA pro skater Taylor Silverman posted:
"Men in women’s sports has never been about including poor people trapped in the wrong bodies.
Men in women’s sports has always been about the left identifying people who are extremely stupid, have no values, believe they are always victims, and are easy to brainwash in order to use them to get Islamists into power.
They know that if you’ll believe a woman has a penis that they can get you to believe anything. They know that while you fight to have children in our country sterilized they can outbreed us with children who are taught to violently destroy us.
These people are not only idiots…they are a deadly threat to our country. Even when Islamists take over they will still blame normal Americans and never take any responsibility for the role they played in their own demise."

Silverman is arguing that leftists are deliberately using emotionally charged social issues to influence public opinion and get people behind a much wider political agenda.
One of the most controversial parts of her statement is her accusation that supporters of transgender inclusion are being manipulated into helping Islamists gain political power.
She believes political activists are taking advantage of people who feel marginalized or see themselves as victims to advance their own agenda.
She also raised concerns about gender identity discussions involving children, particularly medical interventions that could affect their ability to have biological children in the future. She tied these concerns to her wider criticism of the political left.
Her statement has attracted attention because she connects two highly controversial subjects: transgender participation in women's competitions and the growing political influence of Islamist movements.
These are separate issues, and her post presents her own political interpretation of how they are connected.
The election of Abdul El-Sayed has also become part of the wider political discussion following the Democratic victories. However, his Muslim faith and election to the Senate do not establish Silverman's allegation about an Islamist political agenda.
At the heart of Silverman's comments is her deep distrust of the American left. She believes certain political causes are being used to influence Americans while advancing an agenda she considers dangerous to the country.
