Skateboarding legend Steve Caballero recently shared a thoughtful message on Instagram that got a lot of skaters talking.
With his long career in skateboarding and positive mindset, Cab posted a quote about depression, anxiety, and living in the present.
“If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”
He followed it up with a simple message:
“Faith over Fear 🤗🙏🏼❤️ #thankyoujesus”
For many skateboarders, the post felt personal and genuine.
Mental health has become a bigger conversation in skateboarding over the years, and seeing someone like Cab speak openly about faith and fear connected with a lot of people online.
Cab has never hidden his beliefs, and this latest post continued that message. Instead of letting fear control his mind, he explained that his faith in Jesus Christ helps him stay grounded and focused on the present moment.
A lot of skaters also appreciated how direct the message was. It’s just a few words that made core skaters stop and think about their own lives, struggles, and mindset.
Even after decades in skateboarding, Cab continues to inspire people not only through skating but also through the things he shares outside of it.
