It is not something you see all the time in skateboarding.
A skater already riding for one brand ends up getting a guest pro board from another company. That is exactly what happened with Sean Malto and REAL Skateboards.
Malto, who rides for Girl Skateboards, now has a guest pro model coming from REAL.
The connection runs deeper than just a one off collaboration. REAL has known Malto for years, and he has been part of their trips, sessions, and hangouts for a long time.
The DLXSF brand shared a message explaining how it all came together.
They talked about how Malto has been around the crew for years, especially through his Kansas City link with Ernie Torres, and how many road trips and sessions made him feel like part of the group already.
The turning point came when pro skater from the brand Patrick Praman chose Sean as his “My Favorite Skater” guest model.
That pick led directly to Malto getting his own guest pro board with REAL.
REAL said they were excited to finally see Malto’s name on a board shaped like that oval logo. It is a simple moment on paper, but for skaters who have followed Sean’s career, it fits naturally with how long he has been around different crews in skateboarding.
They closed their message by showing appreciation for Sean and looking forward to more time on the road together, skating and traveling like they have done in the past.

"@seanmalto has been a friend of REAL for a long time. From his Kansas City connection with @ernietorres to all the miles he’s logged tagging along on REAL trips over the years, he’s always felt like part of the family.
When @patrickpraman picked Sean for his ‘My Favorite Skater’ guest model, we were hyped to finally see his name in an oval.
Cheers to Sean, and to plenty more miles in the van together."
