Professional skateboarder Nick Dompierre is back skating after spending some time away from the board.

The jacked skating legend recently set up a fresh deck, courtesy of Franchize Skateboards CEO John Cummings.
Dompierre said he missed the simple feeling of putting together a new board, something he used to do every week or even twice a week.
Dompierre admits he weighs more these days, so he is sticking with lower impact spots while getting comfortable again.
His tricks are slowly returning as he works skating into his fitness routine.
He also continues to train and compete in CrossFit, finding a balance between both activities.
It had been a long time since Dompierre had a new board, and now he is back rolling. Hell yeah G!

"One thing I missed a lot about skating was setting up a new board.
Back in the day, I was setting up a new board every week.
Sometimes twice a week depending on the spot I was skating or if I broke it.
I’m definitely a lot heavier now but I’m also skating lower impact things until I’m feeling more confident.
Tricks are coming back slowly but surely.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love to train and compete in CrossFit.
I’ve been finding a good balance so I can progress with my skating, as well as my fitness.
Thanks to my brother @officialjohncummings for the fresh new @franchizeboardco deck. 👊🏼❤️🛹
It’s been forever since I’ve had a new board.
Roll Forever 😎"
