Everyone has their own picks for the greatest skateboarders ever, and Franchize Skateboards CEO John Cummings has shared his personal Mount Rushmore.
His four picks are Daewon Song, Tom Penny, Andrew Reynolds and Donny Barley, with each skater earning their spot for different reasons.
First up is Daewon, whose Round 1 part remains the Franchize CEO's favorite video part of all time. He praised Daewon's technical skating and how his approach continues to hold up years later.
Penny was next, with style being the biggest reason for his inclusion. The CEO named TSA as his favorite Penny part, followed by Menikmati, and praised how naturally Penny skated both contests and street spots.
Reynolds was the third pick. Calling him "The fucking Boss," the Franchize CEO praised Reynolds' legendary frontside flips, his career as a skater and his role in building Baker. His favorite Reynolds part is from Birdhouse's The End.
Rounding out the list is Barley. The two have known each other through skating since the Skater Island days, giving this pick a more personal connection. He named Barley's Welcome to Hell part as his favorite and praised his fast skating, pole jams, alley oops, frontside 360s and the famous Barley Grind.
Four very different skaters, four very different styles, but all four left a lasting impression on skaters' minds.
