Thrasher Magazine’s Halloween Hellbomb was straight madness this year.
UPDATE: Thrasher Issues Statement on DTLA Riot, Says Halloween Hellbomb Is About Skating, Not Destruction
It started off like any other downhill session with skaters dressed up wild, music blasting, and people packed shoulder to shoulder on the street. But it didn’t stay chill for long.
YouTube skater Offgridskater caught the whole thing on camera and it looked like the kind of chaos you only see once a year. He said he went live right when everything flipped and from there it just got crazy.
Cops started showing up, people started running, and skaters kept bombing the hill like nothing could stop them. He said he wasn’t even planning to film but when the police rolled in and the crowd started losing it, he just kept the camera going.
At first it was just good times. Skaters were hitting tricks in masks, people were yelling, cars were trying to squeeze through the mess.
Then you could feel the shift when the cops tried to shut it down. Sirens started going off and people were scattering while others refused to leave.
Halloween Hellbomb has always been wild but this year it was different. It turned into straight street chaos. Nobody was trying to win anything or follow rules. It was just pure skate culture out in the open with no filter.
You can watch the full clip below to see how wild it got.
