The crash also left him with a neck injury that was serious enough for him to wear a neck brace while recovering.
Although Daewon has made good progress since the accident and no longer needs the brace, he recently shared that his neck still has limited mobility.
Even with that improvement, it is obvious that he is still dealing with the effects of the crash and has not fully recovered.
Despite everything that has happened, Daewon has continued working on his painted Dino skateboard decks for customers who have been patiently waiting.
While he is taking time away from skating to focus on his recovery, he is still doing what he can to complete the orders.

Core heads have been understanding about the delays, knowing that his health comes first. Many have encouraged him to take all the time he needs, especially considering the extent of his injuries.
It is not every day that someone returns to work after going through an accident like this, so most people are simply happy to see that he is recovering and staying positive.
Daewon recently gave everyone an update on social media, letting fans know that he is making progress while also being honest about the condition of his neck.
Daewon Song posted:
“I’ve been trying to finish Dino painted boards for the people still waiting! I’m doing good, not wearing the neck brace anymore but neck still has limited mobility.”
It is good to hear that Daewon is no longer wearing a neck brace, but his latest update also confirms that recovery is still ongoing.
Hopefully, he continues to heal up and will be back on his skateboard once his doctors determine it is safe for him to return.
