As fans get ready for the release of Jackass 5 this June, questions have swirled about whether original cast member Bam Margera would be involved.

While Johnny Knoxville confirmed the new film, there was no word on Margera’s participation.

As we previously reported, the 46-year-old later reached an agreement with Paramount that he would appear in the movie, but only through footage from previous films.

He would not be performing any new stunts. This decision comes after a complicated history with the franchise.

The former Element Skateboards pro skater was cut from the last Jackass film after reportedly violating his contract by not staying sober at the time.

Now, Margera has been focusing on his health and sobriety, supported by his wife Dannii Marie. He is skating again, feeling better, and regaining sponsorships.

Despite these improvements, he said in a recent interview with TMZ that he has no interest in returning to Jackass.

According to Margera, Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine told him that he would not receive the five million dollars he would normally make from the film, which made him angry at the time.

He expressed that Jackass only exists because of him and the CKY crew, who helped lay the foundation for what the franchise became.

Margera shared that while he is no longer angry, he still feels hurt about how things were handled. He also revealed that he doesn’t want to reunite with the cast, citing past conflicts over his rehabilitation and medical care.

He explained that even though he followed the guidance of doctors and worked to get sober, he was still excluded from the project.

The Viva La Bam star said he was responsible for paying for his treatment, but despite this effort, he was kept out of the film.

At the end of the day, he said, "My feelings toward them are still f*ck you."
