Professional skateboarder Bam Margera has made it clear that he is not interested in reconnecting with his former Jackass co-stars.
According to reports, the longtime skateboarder and television personality has officially shut down the idea of any future reunion after being removed from Jackass Forever due to issues related to substance addiction.
Margera was reportedly let go from the film after testing positive for Adderall. In response, he filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Paramount, Johnny Knoxville, and Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine, claiming the team subjected him to emotional distress through what he described as a fake Wellness Agreement. While the 2022 movie moved forward with new cast members like Eric Manaka and Rachel Wolfson, Margera was left out and says he has no interest in going back.
In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Margera explained that the relationship with the Jackass crew is beyond repair.
“They have like new dudes and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it and then not putting me in a movie and I had to go to court over it. You could not offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them. The damage has been done,” he said.
Knoxville and Steve-O have both previously commented that they have not spoken to Margera since the fallout. Despite the silence, Knoxville expressed care for his former co-star in 2022, saying he hoped Margera would find peace and get better for the sake of his family and himself.
Margera also addressed the idea of bringing back Viva La Bam, the chaotic MTV show that centered around him pranking his family. For those hoping to see a reboot, the answer is a clear no.
“I just feel like that type of show has completely run its course. Living with my parents and painting the whole kitchen blue and having my mom freak out. To end something like that and then your life moves on. You get your own house with your own wife and you have a kid,” he said.
“If we did a Viva La Bam reboot I would have to move back in with my parents and re-mess with them after giving them a fifteen-year break. It would just be weird.”
Margera's recent life has not been without more public struggles. In 2024 he was placed on six months of probation following a case tied to a 2023 assault involving his brother. Reports stated that he allegedly threatened to harm multiple members of his family, including his parents April and Phil.
Once a central figure in one of MTV's most chaotic franchises, Margera is now distancing himself from everything that came with it. The doors to Jackass and Viva La Bam are closed for good, at least as far as he is concerned.
