Skateboarding politician Mikey Taylor brings his board along for his City Council re-election campaign.
He pulled up to bring his campaign message directly to the neighborhood while showing local residents a few skateboarding skills along the way.
Taylor recalled missing the chance to campaign on his board during his 2022 run. Back then, people would ask him why he wasn't skating from door to door while handing out campaign materials.
This time, he decided not to let the same opportunity pass him by.
"Let's do this! How am I gonna be the one person who doesn't do it?" he said before grabbing his board and heading out to deliver campaign door hangers.
As he cruised through the neighborhood, Taylor even wondered if he was the first candidate to skate around while dropping off campaign materials.

Before getting started, he told viewers, "We'll be respectful, here we go."
He also showed that his skateboarding skills are still there, landing a kickflip during the campaign run.
After sticking the trick, he joked, "I feel like that just earned the vote, huh?"
Taylor shared the footage on social media, explaining that he missed the opportunity to campaign this way in 2022 and wasn't going to let it happen again.
He also encouraged skateboarders to get their ballots in or head out to vote on November 3.
