As we previously reported, YouTube skater Luis Mora said he was fired from Lakai and claimed several riders would also be leaving the brand.
According to Mora, some skaters were expected to stay only until their current contracts expired before eventually leaving the company.
Since then, Lakai has been doing its own part to address the rumors.
Lakai CEO Marc Roca recently showed that pro skaters Bastien Salabanzi and Chris Joslin are still with the company.

Lakai also welcomed Nassim Lachhab to the pro team while continuing to back amateur riders Roman Hager and Evon Martinez.

With different stories circulating online, many skateboarders were left wondering what was actually going on behind the scenes.
Joslin decided it was time to address the situation himself and give everyone an update.
The SOTY shared a video on social media saying the team is still together and that Lakai is not going anywhere.
He also admitted the company has made mistakes and understands it has work to do to regain the trust of the skateboarding community.
Joslin's statement directly conflicts with Mora's earlier claims about the team breaking apart.
Based on what Joslin shared, the current roster remains together and are still representing Lakai.

He also did not avoid talking about the criticism surrounding the company.
Joslin openly acknowledged that mistakes were made and said the team understands it needs to earn back respect from skateboarders.
At the same time, he sounded optimistic about where Lakai is headed and encouraged people to give the brand another chance.
Along with the update, Joslin announced that Lakai is lowering the price of its shoes to $69 as part of its next chapter.
The company appears focused on rebuilding while continuing to support its current riders.
Right now, Joslin's comments provide the most direct response yet to the rumors that followed Mora's departure.
While Mora described a very different situation, Joslin insists Lakai is still together and the team remains committed to the brand.
