Pro skater Nora Vasconcellos recently spoke about a frightening experience involving a stalker who allegedly told her he wanted to impregnate her and even documented his travel while heading toward her home.
During a podcast conversation on the Goodluck Pod, Vasconcellos explained that the situation escalated when the man began sending updates showing where he was as he traveled.
According to her, it felt like he was leaving a paper trail while making his way closer to her.
She said the messages were disturbing and specific. The man allegedly told her he had nunchucks and claimed he had stolen a car. He also sent messages saying he was on his way to get her.
At that point Vasconcellos decided to contact authorities. Because the man said he had stolen a car, she asked law enforcement if they could check whether any vehicles had recently been reported stolen nearby.
Not long after, she received a call from the sheriff’s department.
Officers had located a stolen car in Oceanside that had been taken from an area relatively close to where she lives.
When police told her who was driving the vehicle, it confirmed her fears. The same man who had been sending the threatening messages was behind the wheel.
Vasconcellos said the arrest removed the immediate threat even though it was tied to a different crime.
“It was kind of an ideal situation in the sense that he got arrested for a separate felony,” she explained.
For a long time she believed that this stalker might also be connected to another unsettling situation she had been dealing with. Eventually she realized the two cases involved different people.
One of the podcast hosts asked if that meant there were actually two individuals involved.
Vasconcellos confirmed it. One situation had already been resolved, but another person with the same name was still contacting her with threats.
“The one was taken care of,” she said. “But now the other one is giving me death threats and they have the same name.”
The strange coincidence surprised everyone in the room. After hearing the story, the hosts tried to lighten the mood by asking if either of the men even skateboarded or if they were any good on a board.
The question led to laughter from everyone on the show.
Even with the lighter moment at the end, Vasconcellos said the situation was extremely serious when it was happening.
Receiving threatening messages from someone who claimed he was traveling toward her home was frightening, and the arrest related to the stolen car helped bring some relief at the time.
