The reveal quickly got attention from skateboarders online. While many were interested in seeing a luxury fashion take on skate shoes, others pointed out that the silhouette shares similarities with a classic Vans design that has been part of skate culture for years.

Photos of the shoe spread across social media, with skaters comparing its shape and overall design details to familiar Vans models. The conversation kept building in the comments, with different takes coming in from across the community.

Vans eventually joined in on the discussion and left a short reply on social media, simply saying, “Ohhhh bet.”

That comment immediately caught attention. Some saw it as a lighthearted response to the comparisons, while others took it as Vans acknowledging what people were already saying online about the design resemblance.

Everyone reacted with humor, with all the skateboarders laughing as it felt like a skater rapper Soulja Boy to Drake moment, saying, “Stealing my bar, flow to flow,” type beat.

The moment even drew comparisons to past rap and hip-hop callouts online, where short replies or lines end up carrying more meaning than expected.

In the end, Vans kept things simple with just a few words, but it was enough to get core heads talking. Skateboard P’s LV skate shoe continues to circulate online, while Vans managed to stand on business.
