Ricci Tres, who has been winning women's skateboarding contests and taking home cash prizes, is facing backlash for always dominating the girl skateboarders.
Last year, the 29-year-old transgender woman received 1st place in Poseiden Foundation's 13th Annual Ladies day at The Berrics.
The Los Angeles native recently beat skater girls Shiloh Catori, a 13-year-old, and Jordan Pascale, a 16-year-old, in the Boardr Open skateboarding competition and a $500 prize.
According to The Daily Mail, Tres attempted to participate in the Women's Street USA Skateboarding National Championships to aid in her bid to qualify for the Olympics. Still, the trans skater got rejected because she had too much testosterone.
There's a possibility that there will be more trans women that will be joining the women's skateboarding competition as it is now a very lucrative market.
As we previously reported, Taylormay Silverman is fed up with what's happening in women's skate contests and sports in general. She said. "Male Wins Women's Finals & Money at Boardr Open NYC."
Despite losing to a much older competitor, Catori shared her thoughts and feelings using her Instagram account to spread positivity. "Let's find a way to love, include and respect everyone!" she said.
