The Birdman is back riding for his first sponsor, Independent Trucks.

Skateboarding legend and Hall Of Famer Tony Hawk has officially joined back Independent Trucks via a collaboration with conceptualist and composer Mark Mothersbaugh.

Hawk posted. "Independent Trucks was one of my first sponsors. I rode for Indy (and Dogtown) in 1980 while skate master Tate was team manager, and the outlook for skating was bleak."

"We parted ways for an extended time (33 years to be exact), until finally reconnecting in the best way possible." He said. "I am honored to now have a signature Indy truck, complete with graphics by one of my favorite artists [and maestro musician] Mark Mothersbaugh. Available now in hollow 139 / 144 / 149 / 159 / 169 at your local skate shop, hopefully."
