Skate legend Tony Hawk introduced his loyal professional skateboarder Felipe Nunes to the one and only multi-sport Paralympic athlete Oksana Masters. Both had fun with a skateboarding session at Birdman's private skate park.
Hawk posted. "When worlds collide: I had the privilege of introducing these two icons of their sports to each other this morning. Felipe is in town for Xgames, and Oksana was here for her 3(!) ESPY nominations."
He added. "A spontaneous skate lesson occurred, and Oksana learned kickturns both ways in less than an hour. The combined inspiration displayed here is more than I can possibly put into words."
Unfortunately, Nunes lost his prosthetic legs on his way home from Copenhagen Open 3 weeks ago on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. They still don't know where his luggage is. Hawk also posted it to attempt to put them on blast so he can drive his car again.
Despite its awareness, KLM is still looking into it. We hope that they find Nune's prosthetic legs.
