As we previously reported, pro skateboarder Tommy Sandoval recently suffered a serious groin injury after skating massive handrails.
The injury is severe enough that he will need surgery and several months away from skating while he recovers.
T-Guns has spent years putting his body on the line in the streets, stacking clips and making a name for himself with his heavy approach to handrails and big spots.
That kind of skating comes with gnarly physical wear, especially after years of taking on some of the hardest obstacles around.
Now, Zero Skateboards is stepping up to help T-Guns and his family while he gets through the recovery process.
Zero announced the launch of its “Die Trying” Relief Fund, a pre order collection created specifically to raise money for T-Guns.
The company says 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to T-Guns and his family to help cover expenses during the months he will be unable to skate.

“‘DIE TRYING’ Relief Fund
@tommysandoval_619 was recently seriously injured while skating & will be going in for groin surgery tomorrow. Since he will be out of commission for several months, we are doing a ‘Die Trying’ pre-order fundraiser & donating 100% of the proceeds from this collection to Tommy & his family to help them through this time.”
For a skater who has spent years giving everything to his craft, it is good to see his longtime sponsor backing him when he needs it most.
Hopefully the surgery goes well and T-Guns can get back on his board when he is ready.
