Pro skater Tommy "T-Guns" Sandoval is heading into another surgery after suffering a serious injury while slamming onto a massive handrail, leaving him with severe swelling and bleeding in his groin.
T-Guns recently shared an update, saying the swelling became so extreme that it reached “cantaloupe size” and lasted for more than two months.
Once he was able to get around comfortably, T-Guns returned to light work at the school where he works. He said getting back into a routine helped him stay mentally focused while supporting his family.
Now, T-Guns is preparing for what he hopes will be the final surgery needed to fully heal. He also thanked his wife, family, friends and fans for their support throughout his recovery.

"Just a quick check in before we get into surgery this coming week
it’s been a long road to say the least n I’m very thankful that we’re taking final next steps to fully heal this injury. I have spent a lot of downtime in the past several months, most of which was from the extreme swelling I experienced. We’re talkin cantaloupe size biz here
so yah take that for a good 2+ months for that swelling to subside. From the time I’ve been able to get out n do things comfortably again I had to get out of the house n back to work as soon as I could! I took on light work to help out at the school I work at and have been doing whatever I can to help support our situation. Luckily I was able to work a bit before having to get surgery as it has helped keep me mentally stable n gave me everyday motivation to get out n handle biz. Thankfully we’ve had an amazing support system like I’ve said previously, with all who have donated their time, money, and genuine love for our family we are eternally grateful for all the help in navigating these times. At this point in time we’re looking forward to this surgery being a success and moving onto the final healing process! Thanks again to fans, family, friends, and especially my wife for continuous love n support!"
