Fans of the original Grind Movie have a lot to celebrate because the long-awaited sequel, GRIND 2, is finally happening.
The movie that captured so many hearts with its mix of skateboarding, friendship, and unforgettable characters is getting a follow-up, and several members of the original cast are already on board.
Filmmaker and creator of the first movie, Casey La Scala, shared the news on social media, and it quickly caught the attention of skateboarders everywhere.
A short video posted to the Super Duper Skateboards TikTok account showed that the project is still early in development, but it’s moving ahead, and that’s enough to get fans excited.
There are already so many questions floating around about what the sequel will reveal. Fans want to know what happened on the Jimmy Wilson Tour, what became of Eric Rivers, and what the rest of the Super Duper skate team has been up to since the first movie.
From what we can tell, GRIND 2 will continue to follow the same mix of humor, stunts, and camaraderie that made the original a favorite.
The announcement post also shared a glimpse of the creative team behind the sequel, including La Scala as writer and director, and Bryden Anthony handling visual effects.
Skaters are already speculating about new skate sequences, returning rivalries, and how the characters have changed since the original film. While we’ll have to wait for more updates, you already know that GRIND 2 is shaping up to be a fun ride for longtime fans and new viewers alike.
Super Duper Skateboards also teased that the tour kicks off in 2027, giving everyone something to look forward to.
With the original cast coming back and the story moving forward, it looks like the world of Grind is ready to roll again.
