Boonies Skateboards boss Tim Pool has voiced support for President Donald Trump’s idea to rename Immigration and Customs Enforcement as “NICE,” short for National Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The proposal has been circulating online after Trump shared a mock design on Truth Social showing a new agency badge with an eagle and shield style emblem and the word NICE placed prominently.
The idea first appeared in a social media post from a Trump supporter who suggested the rebrand so that media outlets would be forced to say “NICE agents” repeatedly.
Trump later responded to the concept, calling it a “GREAT IDEA!!! DO IT.” He also reposted the mock design, helping it gain more attention across political discussions online.
The conversation around ICE and the proposed NICE rebrand comes alongside broader talk from Trump and his circle about renaming and reworking major federal branding.

Eric Trump recently shared a new logo tied to plans to rename Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport after approvals at the local and state level moved forward.
The design features a gold eagle and a crest styled with stars and stripes.
There has also been ongoing discussion in past policy plans about rebranding parts of the Department of Defense with references to “Department of War” as an alternate title, which officials were previously allowed to use in communications while considering longer term changes.
While political figures and supporters debate the idea, reactions from the skateboarding world have taken a very different tone.
Some voices in skate culture have spoken out strongly against ICE.
Thrasher has been associated with calls to boycott ICE related messaging in skate spaces, while pro skaters like Tyrone Olson and Ron Allen have publicly shared “fuck ICE” sentiment in recent discussions online.
Skate brand REAL Skateboards has also been part of the group of industry names expressing opposition to ICE enforcement actions.

Against that backdrop, Tim Pool’s support for the ICE to NICE proposal stands apart from the skateboarding community’s louder criticism of immigration enforcement.
