The Boonies skater girl Taylor Silverman is in the midst of controversy again after making critical comments about a transgender skateboarder who competed against her in a past skateboarding competition.
A post claimed that the trans woman was allegedly 12 or younger than Silverman at the time, suggesting a potential age advantage for Silverman to win, but she still lost.
As we previously reported, Silverman has had enough and complained to Red Bull after losing to the transgender in the photo she posted.
Her accusations fueled public outrage, with people expressing concerns that she is transphobic. Critics argued that such comments perpetuate stereotypes and undermine the achievements of transgender athletes.
In response, Silverman took to her social media to address the controversy directly.
She defended her stance and said, "When someone doesn’t have facts on their side they lie to attempt to distract from the truth. Reality is, this male is older than me (in 30’s). In fact, all three males I’ve faced in female divisions are older than me."
