Former Shorty's Skateboards' professional skateboarder Steve Olson has returned to public view with a message that caught everyone off guard.

These days, he’s going by the name “Crazy Monk” and his recent statements have nothing to do with contests, video parts, or sponsorships. Instead, he’s claiming something entirely different.

On his social media, Crazy Monk wrote:

“Crazy Monk is still here on your Planet. My Merkaba Space Ship crashed here. Now I must study your species until my Extraterrestrial Brothers find me on your Planet on the distant edge of the Galaxy
👁️💙👁️”

For those who followed Olson’s skate career in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this might seem like a strange turn.

Back then, he was known for his insane, unpredictable, and memorable clips that helped define an era. He didn’t just ride a skateboard, he left a strong impression every time he showed up to every skate spots.

In recent years, Olson had been quiet. While some fans assumed he had moved on to a different lifestyle, few expected him to come back with stories of space travel and alien observation. Still, if anyone was going to say something like this and mean it or half mean it — it might be him.

He may not be on a board anymore, but he’s still here. Watching. Waiting. Thinking. Crazy Monk, once Steve Olson, hasn’t disappeared.
