You probably know skateboarding legend Steve Caballero for the way he changed skateboarding forever.
From his early days inventing tricks and carving through empty pools to the signature Caballerial that helped define an era, he's been part of skateboarding’s foundation since the beginning.
But these days, there's a lot more to Cab than just his board.
The good homies from The Platfrm showcased Caballero's nonstop work ethic. He still skates, but he's doing his own thing. He recently rolled through the final edition of the Combi Pool Party, not to win but to take part in something that meant a lot to him.
He says he's been spending less time in competition, and honestly, he's more than okay with that. The shift has given him the space to focus on other things that bring him joy.
Motocross has become a bigger part of his life. He's been riding for years and loves the feeling of being out there on the track. It keeps him active and gives him something new to explore. He’s also diving deeper into his art. Drawing, painting, and building have always been in the mix, but now he has more time to let those parts of himself grow.
Then there’s the music. If you remember Faction, the punk band he helped start back in the day, you already know that Cab’s connection to music runs deep. These days, he’s rocking with a new band called Urethane.
They formed during the lockdown and are already putting out full records and playing live shows. It’s not just for fun. It’s another way he gets to express himself, and he takes it seriously.
