After parting ways with Honda as a car salesman, Sorter dedicated himself fully to skating and making content for his fans.
Growing up, Samwise admits he was not the easiest kid to deal with.
He shared stories about getting picked up at the police station for skating on private property, ditching school to hit the skatepark, constantly ruining his clothes and shoes, and bringing home friends who would take over the kitchen while they skated in the garage during the rain.
Even with all the gnar, he never stopped skating, filming, and sharing his tricks online.
Over the years, that persistence has paid off. Today, Sorter has 17,000 subscribers on YouTube, 70,000 followers on Facebook, and 98,000 on Instagram, proving that he has earned his spot as more than just another skater in his 40s.
Recently, Samwise shared a post celebrating a personal moment.
He wrote that his mom is finally proud of what he has done with his skateboard. He admitted that he was a real pain growing up but wanted to thank her for sticking by him and supporting him now.
The approval of his mom is more meaningful than any number of followers or likes. After years of skating, bailing, and figuring things out, he finally has that moment of recognition from the person who knows him best.

"Mom is proud of what I’ve done with my skateboard finally! I’ll admit I was a real pain in the butt growing up. Picking me up at the police station for skating private property’s, finding me at the skatepark instead of school, consistently ruining all my cloths and shoes, and bringing home stinky skater friends while we eat the entire kitchen and skate the garage while it rained. I’ve come along way. Mahal kita mom 🇵🇭❤️🛹"
