The changes around Converse CONS continue, with pro skater and rapper Sage Elsesser now stepping into a new partnership with UGG.
Sage shared the news on Instagram with a playful caption that reads:
"The Tasmanian Angel in the Tasman.
You know what the @ugg goin’ on…"
The post confirms that this is a paid partnership with the footwear company.
This comes after a 12 year run with Converse CONS.

As we previously reported, Sage had just received a new CONS Fastbreak Pro colorway in November 2025.
The sleek pair featured premium black leather and suede, making the timing of Sage’s latest UGG partnership even more interesting.

Sage and Sean Pablo joined the CONS skate team around the same time, making their departures part of a much bigger change happening around the brand’s skateboarding program.
As we previously reported, Sean Pablo’s run with Converse CONS has reportedly come to an end after 12 years on the team.

Sage now appears to be following a similar path, with his latest UGG collaboration giving core heads a first look at what comes next.
Sources close to ShreddER have claimed that the CONS skateboarding program could be coming to an end following reports of cuts to Converse’s marketing budget and around 1,400 job reductions as part of a wider restructuring effort involving Converse operations.

Sage and Sean are also not the only riders no longer associated with CONS. Pro skater Alex Hatfield is also reportedly no longer riding for the company.
The situation is still developing, and more riders could depart as their existing contracts expire.

At this point, there has been no official announcement from Converse confirming the future of the CONS skateboarding program.
Converse is owned by Nike, and the company recently appointed a new CFO. With restructuring and cost reductions taking place across the business, changes to Converse’s skateboarding division could come down to financial decisions and the company's broader strategy.

If the CONS skate program does eventually disappear, it would leave Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and ASICS among the larger footwear companies with a presence in skateboarding.
Several core skate shoe brands continue to compete for a place in the market, making the current situation at CONS something worth watching.
For Sage, though, the latest post is focused on what is happening now.
The UGG partnership brings Sage into a completely different footwear space, with the Tasman becoming the focus of the collaboration.
Sage has built a following through skateboarding, music, fashion, and creative work, making the partnership a natural fit for someone who has consistently crossed between different scenes.
After more than a decade with CONS, seeing Sage in UGG is definitely a different look.
Right now, Sage appears to have found his next footwear partner.
