Auburn caught a little surprise the other day when pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler rolled through town and linked up with the police.
What started as a normal rainy patrol turned into something nobody saw coming, with Sheckler trading his board for boots and a vest just to roll with the crew.
The skatepark was slick, so even a pro like Shecks had to sit this one out. He’s in town filming his new movie Dream and decided to swing by the police department while he was at it.
The post from Auburn PD was all about fun and community, showing Sheckler kicking it with the officers and the locals who happened to catch a glimpse.
Tricks were on hold, but the cameo was real, and people in the area got a little taste of Hollywood meeting the streets.
The skatepark is gonna have to wait for another day, but the visit gave the town something to talk about, a chance to see one of the familiar faces from skating up close and in person.
