Morales started this as a simple idea involving a skeleton costume and a few homies that eventually became a memorable part of skateboarding.

Ribs Man grew into a recognizable character within the scene, leading to trips, sponsorships, appearances on The Nine Club and even a playable character in the skateboarding video game Session.

The Ribs Man creator recently opened up about the project, sharing some memories from its early days while explaining that he has not been involved with Ribs Man or its Instagram account for the past few years.

Although that chapter of his life is now behind him, he wanted to do something special to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

That idea came to life through a collaboration with Lil Jawns Skateboard Rails, producing a limited run of coffin rails for skaters interested in getting their hands on something a little different.

Morales also took the opportunity to thank the many people who helped bring Ribs Man to life.

From the skaters who wore the skeleton suit to the shops, brands, photographers, media outlets and friends who supported the project, he gave credit to everyone who contributed along the way.

He also paid tribute to Henry Gartland and Marshall Stinson, remembering two people who were part of the skateboarding community.

The anniversary celebrations also extend to Dallas, where Morales shared news of the installation of the third Cherry flat bar.

Built using coping from Eisenbergs Skate Park and the bowl at The Point Skate Shop, the rail carries a special meaning as it is dedicated to the memory of Marshall Stinson.

With materials carrying a piece of local skateboarding history, the new installation holds sentimental value for those involved.

Morales also expressed hope that this third installation will last longer than its predecessors.

Ten years after a skeleton costume and a couple of homies started it all, Morales is revisiting a chapter filled with skate trips, friendships and unforgettable experiences, while giving back to the community that helped make Ribs Man what it became.

Morales Posted:

"10 years ago I put on a skeleton costume, got some friends involved and Ribs Man was born. These were some of the best times of my life. The traveling, sponsors, The Nine Club interview, all the friends made along the way and even becoming a video game character in Session all felt like a dream. Some of you know and many of you don’t know that I haven’t been a part of Ribs Man or the instagram account for the last few years. Although I left this part of my life in the past I still wanted to do something special for the 10 year anniversary. To celebrate I have collaborated with @liljawns_rails to bring you the first ever coffin rails! There are limited rails up for grabs so get them while you can! Link in bio! 💀
