April Skateboards pro skater Rayssa Leal is finishing her year with a win that feels extra sweet.
Fresh out of high school and already stacking trophies, she showed once again why so many people love watching her skate.
Balancing schoolwork and a pro career is already a challenge for most, but she made it look calm and controlled while still leveling up at every stop of the season.
During the finals she brought a mix of confidence and precision that kept the crowd locked in the entire time.
Her kickflip frontside boardslide and kickflip backside lipslide were huge moments, along with a handful of clean lines that showed how steady she has become.
The way she handled each attempt showed how prepared and fully focused she was, and the win felt completely earned.
Behind her, Liza Akama from Japan delivered a strong performance that kept the pressure steady throughout the contest.
She stayed composed and consistent, landing trick after trick with a smooth style that kept her right in the chase for the top podium spot.
Close behind them was Australian skater Chloe Covell, who brought her usual sharp timing and creative approach to the course, securing a solid third place finish.
It was an exciting day for women’s skating and a great moment for all three.
Huge congrats to Rayssa on taking the crown, and props to Liza and Chloe for keeping the event intense and fun to watch.
The future of the division looks bright with talent like this stepping up every season.
