Primitive Skateboarding boss Paul Rodriguez recently had a laid-back chat with actor Diego Tinoco where he got real about his faith.
Most people know him for his skate career and his role at Primitive, but this time he shared something a little more personal.
He talked about how reading the Bible every day is helping him grow closer to God.
When asked who he looks up to, P-Rod kept it simple and honest. He said, "First and foremost I look up to Jesus." That one line says a lot about where his heart and mind are these days.
P-Rod explained that the more he studies the Bible, the more aware he becomes of how he is living.
He said he tries not to sin and wants to stay on the right path, but he also admitted that he is still learning and figuring things out.
He is not trying to come off as perfect, just someone who is doing his best to be in good faith.
He also mentioned that he goes to church to learn more about the teachings.
He knows he does not have all the answers, and that is exactly why he keeps reading and attending sermons. It is his way of staying grounded and continuing to grow.
On top of that, P-Rod said he is putting more effort into really knowing Jesus by applying what he learns from the sacred words of the Lord.
He is trying to live by what the Bible says and make better choices in his day-to-day life.
As we previously reported, fellow brother in Christ Antwuan Dixon has also been spreading the word of the Lord to skaters everywhere and has been attending church just like P-Rod.
On the other hand, Ragdoll, who is also a newly baptized pro skater, has been sharing God’s teachings as well.
More and more professional skateboarders are becoming enlightened, choosing to live with purpose, avoiding trouble, and following a better path because God is the way, the truth, and the life.
It is refreshing to see someone like P-Rod open up about his faith in such a down-to-earth way. He is not trying to preach or pretend. He is just being real about where he is at and how he is trying to walk a better path.
