Some religious skaters are speaking out after pro skateboarder Paul Rodriguez recently promoted Hard Rock Casino Tejon by skating inside the venue and even tagging their page on social media.
P-Rod posted:
"Got to skate through the brand new @hrhctejon before the doors officially open. Can’t wait for everyone to see this place — opening November 13 at noon! #hardrocktejon"
That post got a lot of Christian skaters heated. They were like, hold up, this ain’t cool. Gambling is a sin, and here’s P-Rod hyping it up.
Many called out P-Rod for promoting a casino, pointing out that gambling is considered a sin and questioning the choice to associate with it.
Comments from MAGA skaters and other religious followers ranged from concerned to frustrated:
"Bro, you cannot be doing all this for a casino."
"When and why did gambling become something good to promote? I’m all for it being your money, but like that stuff destroys lives and families. Just be responsible. I’m not one to judge."
"Religious pro shills for casino, haha."
People were split. Some are like, “Yo, he’s just skating, chill,” but others see it as a big conflict with his Christian faith.
Fans are debating whether this was just him getting his bread or if he’s really endorsing the casino lifestyle.
Love him or hate him, P-Rod rolling through Hard Rock Casino Tejon before it even opens got people talking about faith, doing right, and what it means to be a pro skater out here.
