The Original Venice Skatepark is back, with locals and skateboarding legends gathering over the weekend to celebrate its grand reopening.
The newly restored park brought together skaters of different generations for a day filled with skating, food, sunshine, and plenty of familiar faces from the Venice scene.
The renovation was led by the Nicolai Marciano Foundation and The Skatepark Project, founded by Tony Hawk, with input from Jesse Martinez, Ishod Wair, Jim Callans, Dan Levy, Alec Beck, Richard Massie, Lee Spielman, and others.
Since the 1970s, Venice has played an important role in skateboarding culture. With the restoration complete, the Original Venice Skatepark now has a fresh chapter while keeping the character that made it special to generations of skaters.

Over the weekend, we had locals and legends of all ages pop out to the grand reopening of the newly restored Original Venice Skatepark. It was a great day with sun, smiles, smashburgers, and of course SKATEBOARDING.
