Nyjah Huston has had a rough few days after a heavy bail while skating that landed him in the hospital and forced him to cancel upcoming DJ shows in Aspen.
The Olympic bronze medalist has been hard at work in the streets skating some of the biggest handrails out there.
During a recent rail session, things went wrong and the slam was serious enough that doctors kept him in the hospital for a couple of days to recover.
While details about the injury were not fully shared, Huston made it clear that the fall was no joke.
Alongside skating, Huston has also been spending more time behind the decks, playing DJ sets and building momentum with live shows.
Unfortunately, the accident meant he had to miss scheduled appearances in Aspen, which he did not take lightly.
Fans who were planning to see him perform were met with an honest update directly from Huston himself.
He shared a message explaining what happened and apologized to everyone who was expecting to see him.
In his post, he wrote that a big rail session went wrong, he needed to stay another night in the hospital, and he was sorry for missing the Aspen shows. He also added that he was thankful to be alive and sent love to his supporters.
While it is frustrating to miss events, health clearly comes first, and Huston seems focused on getting better before returning to both skating and music.
For now, fans are sending well wishes and hoping for a smooth recovery. Huston has bounced back from hard falls before, and once he is healed up, he is expected to return to doing what he loves both on his board and behind the DJ booth.
