Professional skateboarder and financial guru Mikey Taylor has officially announced his new passion for helping the masses and being a part of a municipal body with legislative and administrative powers of Thousand Oaks.

After providing excellent value to the skateboarding industry, the 40-year-old is ready to give where the need is greatest and help change lives.
Taylor posted. "This is something I never thought I would do, but as our kids have gotten older, getting involved in our community seemed more and more important."
He added. "That’s why I’m going to run for City Council in Thousand Oaks. I’ve created another account for the campaign, so if you want to go down this journey with me, let’s do it together!"
"I am running for City Council of Thousand Oaks because of the positive impact the Conejo Valley has made on me, having lived here all my life." He said.
"My wife, Jen, and I are raising our 4 children in the same community where we both grew up, and we want to ensure it makes the same great impact in their lives as well." Taylor explained. "What are some of the qualities that make Thousand Oaks special to you?"
