Cryptopsy's lead vocalist, Matt McGachy, recently visited his friend and an Otolaryngologist, Enrico Di Lorenzo, to explore the physiological aspects of his extreme vocalizations.

During the examination, a microscopic camera was inserted through McGachy's nasal passages to observe the intricate movements and stress endured by his vocal apparatus while delivering Cryptopsy's signature sound.

This cool project brought together music and science to figure out the secrets behind extreme vocals. The idea was to see how our bodies react to these types of sounds and explore the connection between music and physiology.

The fact that McGachy was willing to undergo such an unconventional examination highlights the band's dedication to innovation and exploration within their genre.
