Professional skateboarder Chris Joslin is officially riding with Lakai and the streets are already stoked about it.

Under Luis Mora’s new leadership as a part owner of the brand with corporate CEO Marc Roca, the team has been doing their thing and bringing in skaters who actually live what they skate. Joslin is one of those top guys.

The first week he rocked Lakai gear he was already making noise.

He hit up Santa Monica for a contest and straight up took his first SLS win. Clips of him shredding in Lakai shoes and a tee blew up everywhere. The word was out. Everyone knew Joslin was with the team even before it was official.

Now the hype is building for his video part.

The 28-year-old has been grinding hard, getting his body right, hitting tricks he’s been planning for months. One of the tricks everyone can’t stop talking about is his Treflip on El Toro.

That clip has already caught so much attention that it’s possible Joslin’s new part will be featured in Lakai’s upcoming footwear video.

Core heads have been watching and waiting, and it’s about to pay off.

Mora is hyped. His new top pro skater has style, and knows how to shred gnarly gaps, and now he’s got the backing of Lakai behind him.

The full video part is coming soon but even now it’s clear Joslin belongs with this crew.

This signing shows where Lakai is headed. Mora’s running the show and Joslin is out here setting the pace.

"We officially signed @chrisjoslin_ to Lakai a few months ago. But, before making an official announcement we wanted to put together a proper “Welcome To Lakai Part”.

His first week on Lakai, he took his first ever SLS win at Santa Monica. This caught the attention of many people & everyone knew instantly. Photos & videos of Chris winning in a Lakai T & shoes spread everywhere. But, we still wanted to wait to have this video part filmed before posting anything.

We visited him and went through a list of tricks that Chris wanted to do for the part. One written down on his notebook was the Treflip on El Toro. Chris has been taking very good care of himself lately. Training and exercising a bunch, improving his condition. I was sure he could do it.

Just a month later, I got the text that he had done it. Before I knew it, the world saw the photo of the Treflip on El Toro on the cover @thrashermag. At this point, I think it’s very clear to people that Chris is on the Lakai. The plan was to wait to officially announce him, but we have to start posting all the insane stuff he’s doing. The part will come out soon, but we’ll make this smaller announcement in the meantime. It has been an incredible year for him and we are happy to see him get his shine!

Congrats on everything Chris, you’re one of a kind. Welcome to Lakai. 🤝✨

Luis"
