Pro skater Chris Joslin has officially landed a 360 flip down the legendary El Toro skate spot, and the skate world is can’t stop talking about it.

This is something fans have been waiting for years.

Joslin first tried to land this trick back in 2018, but at the time he kept it quiet because he thought it didn’t fully counted.

Then in 2020, during the whole COVID-19 lockdown, he shared a clip of his attempts. The clip showed a lot of bails, but he did manage to land it briefly before slipping.

Naturally, it caused plenty of debate among skaters. Some said it counted, while others thought he needed to land it cleaner without any slips.

The purists, the old-school skaters, argued that it wasn’t a full make and that Joslin should redo it to prove it.

The 360 flip caught a lot of attention online.

The Nine Club featured it on their Experience show in 2020, and again in 2021 when Joslin appeared on the show.

The Plan B Skateboards pro skater shared his story and the struggle behind the trick. Clips and discussions of the trick kept popping up, showing how much effort and focus went into getting it.

Skate influencer Marque "Shrimp Daddy" Cox even edited the clip to make it look fully landed.

Chase Gabor’s YouTube channel documented Joslin’s work on the trick, with Ryan Sheckler and others chiming in about his progress.

It became part of skateboarding lore online, with fans revisiting the attempts multiple times.

This year, in 2025, Joslin went back to El Toro and finally nailed the 360 flip cleanly. Thrasher Magazine celebrated the moment by putting him on the cover, showing the official landing in a front-page photo.

While there’s no video footage yet of the make, the cover photo confirms that Joslin finally completed the trick the way it was meant to be done.

After years of attempts, debates, and online clips, Joslin has delivered, giving fans the confirmation they have been waiting for. Congrats to Joslin for finally landing it.
